DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Family and friends of Cole Hosack, Renee Didier and Darylyn Supernant are holding an expanded search party over the weekend and are looking for more volunteers.

Julie Hosack, Cole’s mom, says the headquarters for the search on January 27th and 28th will be at the Staybridge Suites in Dawson Creek.

“We have joined forces, I would say, with the girl’s family. We’re going to search with everyone for everyone,” Julie said.

She says the RCMP has kept in contact with her, but they can’t release much due to the case being an active investigation.

Julie says she is working with a non-profit organization called Please Bring Me Home, which assists in investigating missing people and cold cases.

“They have their own team of investigators and dog teams,” Julie said. “ We are currently working with them to pull some more resources.”

According to Julie, they are also working with Wings of Mercy, a volunteer group of drone pilots, to assist in the search.

The search over the weekend will start in Dawson Creek, but Julie plans to start heading out of town to the more rural areas.

Like the last search, maps will be provided, and Julie notes that they will be mindful of private properties.

The manager of Staybridge Suites in Dawson Creek has offered discounted rates at the hotel for those coming in from out of town to aid in the search for Hosack, Didier and Supernant.

Julie says the last foot search they had held for her son didn’t have a lot of volunteers.

She says it was very cold, but they covered all the areas they wanted to.

“With the weather conditions and being a Monday, we knew that there would be a struggle,” Julie admitted.

Cole Hosack was last seen at LoneStar NightLife in Dawson Creek early on New Year’s Day.

According to police, he was last seen wearing dark green pants, a green t-shirt and a black hat with a Boston Red Sox ‘B.’

Hosack had stopped in Dawson Creek to spend time with friends before going to work in Medicine Hat on January 5th, but he never showed up.

His friends and family have conducted two searches with no results.

Renee Didier, who sometimes goes by the last name Supernant, has not had contact with her friends or family since December 2nd, which is said to be out of character for her.

Dawson Creek RCMP later shared photos of the 40-year-old taken from surveillance footage at a gas station on December 3rd. This was the last time Didier was seen in Dawson Creek before being reported missing on December 7th.

Darylyn Supernant was last seen on March 15th, 2023, and was reported missing on March 22nd, 2023.
