A message from the publisher

My name is Adam Reaburn, and I am the owner and manager of Energeticcity.ca and Moose FM. I made Fort St. John my home in 2004, where I helped Moose FM after they launched in 2003. With the help of local partners, I created Energeticcity.ca in 2008 when I realized there was a need for more local news coverage in our area.

When we started Energeticcity.ca, our radio staff gathered information about local news and events to share with you, our readers. I would have never imagined that 15 years later, we would have a full-time staff of five journalists and a news director covering all of Northeast B.C. That makes our newsroom the largest in the area!

Stories from Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Charlie Lake, Taylor, Hudson’s Hope and the rest of Northeast B.C. need to be covered, and the stories you have helped us to write have made a difference. Thanks to your support, we have funded an investigative reporter that has created a series of articles about our healthcare crisis and is working on new stories for 2023.

Your support is still needed to ensure we can continue creating journalism in our community. Advertising doesn’t cover all our costs. Energeticcity.ca is the voice of the Peace, bringing issues that matter to the forefront with independent journalism. Give $10 a month to Energeticcity.ca today, and be the reason we can cover the next story.

Thank you for supporting Energeticcity.ca

Adam Reaburn
