City of Fort St. John hosting annual municipal report meeting

The City of Fort St. John will host it’s annual municipal report meeting on June 22nd at City Hall.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Residents of Fort St. John are invited to provide submissions and questions and attend the city’s annual municipal report.  

On June 22nd, the city will hold a public meeting in the council chambers at City Hall, 10631 100th Street, starting at 6 p.m., according to a June 16th public notice. 

“The purpose of this meeting is to review the annual report and to receive submissions and questions from the public,” the city said.

The report will include the city’s 2026 goals and objectives, as well as an update on the 2025 goals and objectives. 

It will also include audited financial statements for 2025 and a report on permissive property tax exemptions.

According to the city’s website, the report includes financial statements which are reviewed by external auditors, who provide an opinion on them.

Copies of the report are available on the city’s website or at City Hall.  

Inquiries regarding the meeting or the report can be directed to the city’s communications department by email at communications@fortstjohn.ca or by calling 250-878-8510. 

Residents can submit written comments on the report by 4:30 p.m. on June 19th in person or by mail to City Hall, addressed to Bonnie McCue, Corporate Officer. Comments can also be emailed to legistlativeservices@fortstjohn.ca. 

Written comments will be handed out to the council for consideration at the meeting.
