Search party for Darylyn Supernant this weekend

Savannah Gouchey is hosting a search party this weekend for her cousin Darylyn Supernant, who was last seen on March 15th in Dawson Creek.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Savannah Gouchey is hosting a search party this weekend for her cousin Darylyn Supernant, who was last seen on March 15th in Dawson Creek.

Gouchey asks those who want to participate to be at the Nawican Bergeron Youth and Culture Centre by noon on June 24th and 25th.

She’s asking participants to bring water, snacks, pens, markers and maps of Dawson Creek and Pouce Coupe if they can. The cultural centre has also been accepting donations of supplies for this weekend’s search.

Gouchey also asks attendees to wear red when searching for her cousin in honour of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

“I never thought in a million years it would be my cousin missing. Trust me when I say MMIWG hits differently when it’s your family, especially someone you grew up with. I won’t stop looking until she is found.”

Supernant was last seen on March 15th and was reported missing on March 22nd.

Police describe her as 29 years old, five feet and nine inches tall, weighing approximately 119 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

If anyone has information about Supernant or where she may be, they are asked to contact the Dawson Creek detachment at 250-784-3700.
