Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation receives donation to MRI Campaign
The Clear Picture Campaign towards an MRI has raised 91 percent of its goal for the new Dawson Creek and District Hospital.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — A Campaign to bring an MRI to the new Dawson Creek Hospital has raised 91 per cent of its goal, in addition to another donation.Â
The MRI campaign, also known as the Clear Picture Campaign, is an initiative to bring a “state-of-the-art” Phillips MRI to the new Dawson Creek and District Hospital.Â
The MRI will help provide timely, accurate care to patients across the south peace region by strengthening diagnostic support for hospital teams and community physicians, according to the Dawson Creek Hospital Foundation website.Â
According to a press release from the foundation on May 8th, 2026, Cargill Dawson Creek has donated $8,500 to the MRI Campaign.
Thanks to the donation, the foundation will be able to continue funding priority medical equipment and patient care initiatives, as well as projects that improve health services at the new Dawson Creek and District Hospital, according to the release.Â
Allie Macam, Executive Director of the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation, said in the release the donation helps improve access to local care for members of the community.
“We are incredibly grateful for Cargill’s support and investment in the health and well-being of our community,” Macam said. “Partnerships like this help ensure local patients and families have access to improved care and vital services closer to home.” Â

Rachel Veiner, Grain Origination Representative from Cargill, spoke about why the company chose to support the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation.Â

As of May 11th, 2026, the Clear Picture Campaign has reached 91 per cent of it’s $3 million goal, prior to the donation from Cargill.Â
The campaign has received numerous donations from other companies, including ARC Resources LTD, Ovintiv Canada ULC, Dawson Creek Tim Hortons, CIBC Foundation, Enbridge and more. Â
