FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John provincial court between May 4th and May 8th.

Ryan Matthew Clifford Bloor (born 1986)

Bloor was found guilty of assault by choking on February 23rd, 2026 in Fort St. John. 

They were handed a suspended sentence, where the accused is given conditions to follow, a primary DNA order was made and Bloor was asked to report for sample collection.

Bloor was also handed a probation order for two years and a firearms prohibition for 10 years. They must also pay a $100 victim surcharge, which helps victims of crime.

Benjamin Ryan Sean Bowes (born 2005) 

Bowes was found guilty of driving without a driver’s licence on May 17th, 2025 in Hudson’s Hope. 

They were fined $200, handed a one-year probation order, and must pay a $30 victim surcharge.
