FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Jordan Kealy was announced as the official Peace River North MLA candidate for the Conservative Party of B.C. on Friday.
Kealy announced his intention to run through a social media post in October, and the Conservative Party of B.C. made the official announcement on November 24th.
The Conservative Party says Kealy is concerned about policies driven by special interest groups and wants to bring a northern voice to the table.
Kealy is also focused on improving and preserving the local economy and does not believe shutting down industries such as oil and gas, agriculture, and forestry is in the region’s best interest.
According to the Conservative Party, Kealy also advocates for individual freedom and healthcare reform due to personal experiences with the healthcare system.
Kealy was an industrial mechanic and a farmer before he became the Peace River Regional District (PRRD) Area B director in 2022.
Peace River MLAs Mike Bernier and Dan Davies, both with BC United, announced their re-election bids earlier in October.
