School District 60 trustees votes for Gilbert to remain as chair

The School District 60 board of trustees had their annual election this week and have voted for Helen Gilbert to remain as chair.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The School District 60 board of trustees had their annual election this week and have voted for Helen Gilbert to remain as chair.

The election took place on November 20th to solidify the positions within the board for the 2023-2024 school term.

Gilbert was first elected in 2019 after trustee Ida Campbell, who now serves as the BC School Trustees Association’s provincial councillor. Trustee Bill Snow remains as the alternate provincial councillor.

Madeline Lehmann was also re-elected as vice-chair and the BC Public School Employees Association (BCPSEA) representative.

Thomas Whitton will continue to serve as the BCPSEA representative alternate.

Trustees Nicole Gilliss, the previous BCPSEA representative, and David Scott-Moncrieff round out the board.
