Taylor Bridge annual maintenance scheduled till end of June
The Taylor Bridge will undergo annual maintenance from May 25th, lasting through the end of June, reducing traffic to a single alternating lane.

TAYLOR, B.C. — The Taylor Bridge will be reduced to single lane traffic for over a month due to annual maintenance.
According to a May 19th Facebook post by Dawson Road Maintenance, maintenance will start on May 25th and will last through the end of June.
Dawson Road Maintenance said the maintenance will take place Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane, with alternating traffic led by a pilot car.
All wide and extra-large loads must wait until after 3:30 a.m. to cross the bridge, unless different arrangements have been made.
The Taylor Bridge recently experienced delays due to bridge cleaning from May 11th to May 22nd.
The bridge, which serves as a key connector between Fort St. John and Dawson Creek, has been the subject of debate.

The Independent Contractors and Business Association (ICBA) previously submitted a Freedom of Information (FOI) request for inspection reports for the bridge from June 9th, 2020, to June 9th, 2025.
In an opinion piece on Energeticcity.ca, ICBA president and CEO Chris Gardner said the bridge needs to be replaced.
