Taylor Bridge 2-week cleaning to cause delays

Commuters can expect minor delays on the Taylor Bridge from May 11th to May 22 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Commuters using the Taylor Bridge for the next two weeks might experience minor delays due to planned bridge maintenance. 

According to an update on DriveBC on May 7th, bridge maintenance has been scheduled to start on Monday, May 11th at 7 a.m., and will continue until Friday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. 

Annual bridge washing will happen between the Taylor Bridge and McMahon Drive.

Single-lane alternating traffic will be in effect, and commuters can expect delays. 

Extra-wide load vehicles are asked to contact Dawson Road Maintenance before crossing the bridge. 

The update asked commuters to slow down for crews and equipment.

The crew will not be working on Monday, May 18th.
