Quad raffle raises more than $40,000 for campaign to renovate community centre

The raffle for a 2025 Honda Rubicon quad raised over $40,000 to support renovations of the Fort St. John Association for Community Living’s Terus Community Centre.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) raised more than $40,000 through its quad raffle to support renovations of the Terus Community Centre.

The raffle was first announced in a Facebook post on December 9th, offering participants the chance to win a 2025 Honda Rubicon quad. 

Tickets were sold for $25 each or five for $100, with all proceeds directed toward the Terus Community Centre Capital Campaign.

The campaign aims to renovate the FSJACL’s former operations building at 10257 100th Avenue, which has been deemed inadequate for current program needs.

The winning ticket was drawn on January 29th at 10 a.m., with Kristy MacKintosh of Rose Prairie being named the winner.

“The association wishes to thank all those who bought tickets and looks forward to providing more chances to win in the future,” said FSJACL stewardship manager Jared Braun.

A video was posted to Facebook by the association on January 29th, showing Braun making the call to inform MacKintosh of her win.

According to its donation page, the Terus Community Centre campaign has raised $1,058,450 out of a $1,200,000 goal as of February 11th, 2026.

Founded in 1960, the FSJACL provides support and services for more than 120 adults with developmental disabilities across the Fort St. John area.

In late October 2025, the FSJACL received a $10,000 donation from Pacific Canbriam Energy.
