Trackers U-18 to fundraise for provincial tourney with Burgers and Brews night

The Burgers and Brews event is being used as a fundraiser for events surrounding the BC Hockey Tier One Provincial Championship to be hosted in Fort St. John in March 2026.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The North East BC U-18 Trackers hockey team is serving up food and drink to raise money for the upcoming BC Hockey provincial championship.

The eight-team event takes place from March 14th to March 18th, and will be hosted at the North Peace Arena and Pomeroy Sport Centre in Fort St. John.

The tournament will also feature an award ceremony, a banquet and gift baskets for each of the visiting teams upon its conclusion.

In order to fundraise for the tournament, the Trackers will host a Burgers and Brews night at the Ramada by Wyndham Northern Grand Hotel and Conference Centre in downtown Fort St. John on February 18th, and is inviting the public to the event.

Trackers players, captain Brady Dietz and assistant captain Walker Brown, joined Moose FM afternoon host Chris Walker on February 3rd  to chat about it.

Brown told Walker the motives behind the event, which include raising funds for the extracurricular activities surrounding the tourney.

“We are raising money for our banquet and for all the other teams to come down,” said Brown. “[To put] goodie bags together for the other teams. We want to make sure they have a good experience here.”

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Ramada’s North Bar and Grill on February 18th, with tickets priced at $30, which will include a burger and a beer for an adult. Children can get a burger and a drink for $20.
