Park bathroom graffitied in spate of vandalism incidents
Fort St. John police were called to Mathews Park on October 7th where one of the public bathrooms had been defaced with graffiti.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Vandals have targeted public bathrooms throughout 2025, with the Fort St. John RCMP detachment seeking the public’s help in relation to an incident in October.
Police were called to Mathews Park on October 7th, where it was discovered the interior of a public bathroom had been defaced with graffiti.Â
According to a press release, after an investigation by frontline officers, no witnesses could be identified and surveillance footage was unavailable.

RCMP are seeking anyone with dashcam footage, surveillance video or suspicious usage of black and pink spray paint to come forward to police.
The graffiti incident on October 7th was followed by a washroom fire at Kin Park later in the month and comes after another incident earlier this year, when there was another fire in Mathews Park.
