Most-Read Stories of the Week

It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most curious about. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the most-read stories for the week of July 6 to 12, 2025:

  1. Peace Residents File Complaint:​ against the David Suzuki Foundation over “misleading” picture. The group believes the foundation falsely represented the B.C. Montney region with a 20-year-old photograph of an oil field in Wyoming, U.S.A. 
  2. Oil Giant Broke Deal:​ to deactivate thousands of pipelines and faced no penalty according to internal government documents. Canadian Natural Resources Ltd failed to meet targets proposed by the BC Energy Regulator
  3. Company with Tumbler Ridge Roots: appoints son to late father’s CEO position. According to a June 24th press release, Scott LaPrairie will be succeeded by his son, Cliff LaPrairie as CEO of the LaPrairie Group of Companies.
