Taylor’s Lone Wolf Golf Course records more than 16,000 rounds of golf played

The Lone Wolf Golf Course, located in the District of Taylor, has recorded over 16,000 rounds of gold played, according to the 2025 annual report.

TAYLOR, B.C. — The Lone Wolf Golf Course has recorded over 16,000 rounds of golf played in 2025. 

During the June 15th special council meeting, District of Taylor staff presented the 2025 annual report, which included year-end reports for the Lone Wolf Golf Course, the Park and Facilities team and Peace Island Park. 

The 2025 golf season, which began on April 16th and ended on October 14th, saw steady participation, with 265 group members and 159 club members playing just over 16,000 rounds.

Several upgrades were completed in the 2025 season to “improve player experience and tournament hosting capabilities.”  

For the expanded deck area, completed in 2024, two 13-inch by 25-inch tournament tents were added, and 10 new Yamaha golf carts equipped with Tagmarshal GPS were purchased to replace 10 older ones. 

The report said the indoor facility was upgraded ahead of winter, with the installation of a Uneekor XR Launch Monitor and a new hitting screen. Additionally, 10 golf club rental sets were added to meet growing demand.

The district’s parks and facilities department also reported several upgrades and projects completed in 2025.

This includes one of the Taylor ball diamonds, which was converted into a dog park; a second greenhouse, which was constructed and is scheduled to open in summer 2026; and flat roofs at the Taylor Community Pool and Curling Club, which were refurbished. 

The team also handled ongoing maintenance, including snow removal around buildings and ice maintenance at the District Ice Centre. 

It worked closely with other departments to support community events like the Emergency Preparedness BBQ and the Mother’s Day Brunch

Peace Island Park reported a very successful 2025 season, highlighted by the World Championship Jet Boat Races.

The park also supported work related to the upcoming Taylor Bridge project to ensure minimal disruption to campers.
