PRRD to offer free grant writing sessions in June
The Peace River Regional District will be offering free grant-writing sessions through Clear Course on June 9th, 10th, and 11th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) will be offering free grant-writing sessions in June.
According to a press release by the PRRD on May 27th, the grant writing sessions are part of the PRRD’s Grant Writer Services Program, which is delivered through Clear Course in partnership with the Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT).
The sessions are intended to support community groups in developing stronger and more competitive funding applications.
The release said that since the program’s launch in 2021, Clear Course has helped 118 community groups in the Peace Region secure over $11.7 million in funding.
Brad Sperling, PRRD’s board chair, said: “The results speak for themselves; more than $11 million secured for 118 community groups shows what is possible when organizations have the right support.”
“These sessions are about ensuring even more groups across the region have the tools and confidence to access funding and turn their ideas into reality.”
The sessions are open to community groups within the PRRD and provide practical guidance on identifying funding opportunities and preparing successful grant proposals.
