Lake View Credit Union donates $100,000 to Dawson Creek MRI Campaign
Lake View Credit Union has donated $100,000 to the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Lake View Credit Union (LVCU) has donated $100,000 to the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundations’ Clear Picture Campaign.
The ‘Clear Picture’ Campaign is an initiative led by the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation to bring a state-of-the-art Phillips MRI to the new Dawson Creek and District Hospital, which is scheduled to open in September 2026.
Lake View Credit Union announced the donation in a press release on May 27th.
“The success of the ‘Clear Picture’ Campaign would represent a major step forward in enhancing diagnostic services for residents across the South Peace region,” the release said.
According to the campaign’s website, it will “strengthen diagnostic support for hospital teams and community physicians, helping patients across the South Peace receive timely, accurate care.”
“The addition of an MRI in an investment that will serve patients for decades,” said Brette Madden, chair of the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation.
According to Allie Macam, executive director of the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation, the campaign is close to reaching its goal.

“We are currently at ninety-one per cent of our campaign, and we are getting closer to wrapping up our campaign,” she said.
“The donation is incredibly meaningful for the foundation. 100,000 contributions is a major investment in healthcare for our region,” she said. “Not just for Dawson Creek itself, but for the whole South Peace region, and it just shows Lake View Credit Union’s strong commitment to supporting local families in healthcare in our area.”
LVCU Co-CEO Marlana Blouin described the importance of the donation.
“Access to quality healthcare is essential for strong, thriving communities,” Blouin said. “We’re proud to stand alongside the Hospital Foundation and Northern Health in making this vision a reality.”
According to the foundation’s website, it has received numerous donations from companies, including ARC Resources, Tim Hortons Dawson Creek, Ovintiv Canada, Enbridge and more.
On May 8th, Cargill Dawson Creek donated $8,500 to the campaign.
