Voting will be open until April 3 so make sure to vote while you can! There are over 200 categories but you can vote just for the ones you care about. Every year, we take suggestions from voters on what categories they want added. New categories this year include Best Book Store, Best Nail Salon, Best Chef, Best Wedding Venue, and more.

  1. RCMP Arrests Relative: of the Tumbler Ridge shooter. Jacob Van Rootselaar was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon in Red Deer, an additional charge of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, and five counts of failing to comply with release conditions.
  2. BC Man Faces Multiple Charges: for a fatal 2024 collision on Alaska Highway. 22-year-old Bryan Gass, a resident of Wonowon, is now facing criminal charges for a collision that killed an Alberta man and injured another.
  3. Court Report: for the week of February 16-20, 2026. Included are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts.
