It’s always interesting to see what the readers of Energeticcity.ca are most curious about. Sometimes it’s a big decision that will impact property taxes, and sometimes it’s a new restaurant coming to town. Here are the most-read stories for the week of February 1 to 7, 2026:
- FSJ Asked to Delay Non-Essential Water Use: as the City looked to repair a leak in the feeder water main. The leak was discovered in December but repairs were scheduled to start February 5, 2026 to give enough time to prepare.
- FSJ Business Suffers $2K theft: as the owner calls out “frustrating” shoplifting. Snehal Mistry, the owner of Merwin Optical since 2021, says the incident occurred on February 2, 2026.
- The Canada Energy Regulator Recommends Approval: of a pipeline expansion. According to the CER, Westcoast Energy’s Sunrise Expansion Program would boost natural gas capacity by about 17%.
