(UPDATE) Saulteau First Nations area wildfire being listed by BCWS as ‘being held’

The wildfire was reported on Thursday, April 30th in the Saulteau First Nations area.

MOBERLY LAKE, B.C. — The 24-hectare fire in the Saulteau First Nations area has now been listed as ‘being held’ according to the latest report from the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).

The fire was first reported on Thursday, April 30th. The BCWS said one initial attack crew and air tankers in its update on May 2nd.

However, it now lists the fire as ‘being held’, meaning the fire is not expected to expand beyond its current perimeter, based on fuel, weather conditions and availability of resources.

There were no evacuation alerts or orders issued for this fire.
