Whiskey Pickle pub re-applies to expand patron capacity

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — An application by a pub in Dawson Creek to expand its capacity has been reissued.

According to a public notice posted on the City of Dawson Creek’s website, the Whiskey Pickle pub, located at 11605 8th Street in Dawson Creek, has applied to the province’s Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch for a structural change to its existing Liquor Primary Licence. 

The application seeks a permanent increase in the number of patrons and staff allowed in the licensed service area.

Residents were initially notified of the pub’s application on December 19th, but due to the proposed capacity being incorrectly submitted, the notice has been corrected and reissued.

The pub’s current licensed capacity is 24 people, and if the proposed change is approved, its capacity would increase to 70 people.

Residents who feel they may be affected by the proposed change are invited to submit written comments to the city by no later than January 26th.

Submissions can be sent by emailing the city’s deputy corporate officer Janice Anderson at janderson@dawsoncreek.ca, or by mailing a letter to P.O. Box 150, 10105 12A Street, Dawson Creek, B.C., V1G 4G4.
