Goals from defenceman Jordan LaGreca and forwards Ryan Ungstad and Braith Morgan deadlocked the game at three in the game’s final five minutes.

However, the Navigators got one past Huskies goaltender Evan Baker with less than a minute left and North Peace prevailed by a score of 4-3.

After the tough loss, things went well in Fort St. John’s next contest versus the Fairview Flyers on Saturday, January 3rd.

Five first-period goals set the pace, as the Huskies ran through the Flyers by a score of 12-2. Ten Huskies found the back of the net, with Mason McGinnis and Fin Reed scoring two goals each.

The Huskies finished their weekend off on January 4th with the rescheduled game against the Sexsmith Vipers, which was cancelled last month due to bad weather.

With 52 total shots, the Pups cruised to a 7-1 victory over the Vipers. It was highlighted by Xavier Burgher’s hat trick, upping his season goal total to 28.

The Huskies will next face the Dawson Creek Kodiaks on Wednesday, January 7th at the Ovintiv Events Centre.

Gametime is scheduled for 8 p.m.
