RCMP officers in Chetwynd search for second wanted individual

CHETWYND, B.C. — South Peace RCMP officers are searching for a wanted man and turning to the public for help finding him.

According to a new press release from the Chetwynd RCMP detachment, Jared Colten Lepretre is wanted for aggravated assault, uttering threats and assault.

Lepretre is described as a 33-year-old Indigenous man standing five-feet-eight-inches tall and weighing 209 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Lepretre’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Chetwynd RCMP detachment at 250-788-9221.

Officers are also urging residents to avoid trying to personally apprehend Lepretre under any circumstances.

Lepretre isn’t the only wanted man being sought by police in the South Peace; on Tuesday, September 9th, the Chetwynd RCMP detachment announced it was searching for 37-year-old Chad Gauthier.
