Chetwynd RCMP search for man wanted for assault, mischief

Chetwynd RCMP officers are turning to the public for help finding a wanted man, Chad Joseph Alex Gauthier.

CHETWYND, B.C. — RCMP officers in the South Peace are turning to the public for help finding a wanted person.

According to a new press release from the Chetwynd detachment, officers are searching for Chad Joseph Alex Gauthier, who is wanted for assault and mischief.

Gauthier is described by police as a 37-year-old Indigenous man standing five-feet-eleven-inches tall and weighing 154 pounds, with a medium complexion and black hair.

Anyone with information regarding Gauthier’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Chetwynd RCMP detachment at 250-788-9221.

Officers are also urging residents to avoid trying to personally apprehend Gauthier under any circumstances.
