Fort St. John extends High on Ice grant application deadline

The City of Fort St. John says it will extend the deadline for micro-grant applications to businesses for the upcoming High on Ice Winter Festival

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John says it will extend the deadline for micro-grant applications to businesses for the upcoming High on Ice Winter Festival. 

The city announced the deadline extension in a Facebook post on January 6th, 2025. 

“We’re offering micro-grants to local businesses to add something special to Winter Fest! Use the grant to offer a deal, a freebie, or a Valentine’s Day perk that will make Family Day weekend unforgettable,” the post reads.

Local businesses have until Sunday, January 12th, to apply. 

Applicants are only eligible if their business is operated in the City or surrounding areas, they hold a minimum of two million liability insurance, and they can facilitate the business without city staff support, etc. 

The businesses will be featured on the Winter Fest Map, the City’s website, social media, and printed flyers.
