Recycle-It hosting 2026 Free Stuff Weekend
Residents in Fort St. John will be able to get rid of their unwanted household items while searching for free stuff thanks to Free Stuff Weekend

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Residents of Fort St. John will have the chance to get rid of their clutter and maybe even find some free items during Free Stuff Weekend.
According to Recycle-It Resource Recovery, the 2026 Free Stuff Weekend will be held on May 23rd and 24th, 2026.
This year’s iteration will mark the seventh consecutive Free Stuff Weekend, following last year’s event on May 24th and 25th.
During this weekend, participants can get rid of unwanted household items during the event, instead of discarding them.
“It’s a great way to reduce the amount of garbage ending up in the landfill, while allowing someone else to find something new.”
Residents can participate by placing reusable household items at their curb, only placing items that are free to take, marking them clearly with a free sign, and adding their address to the map.
Add your address to the map by visiting the website and filling out the form.
