Charlie Lake dock open for use

 The dock at Charlie Lake has been reinstalled after repairs and is open for use.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The dock at Charlie Lake is open for use after following repairs and painting.

According to City of Fort St. John communications manager Ryan Harvey, the repairs were a “preventative maintenance operation.”

The work included some welding and metal work.

A recent Facebook post by the City of Fort St. John asks dock users to refrain from diving or jumping off the dock. Running and jumping on the structure are discouraged as well. 

The city asks dock users to dispose of trash properly and be respectful and aware of other community members who may also wish to use the dock.

In consideration of wildlife whose habitat surrounds the dock, users are asked to leave wildlife undisturbed and to refrain from feeding them.

Last Spring, Jordan completed her first season providing play-by-play for Trinity Western University Women’s Hockey and gameday hosting for BCHL Coquitlam Express.

Jordan enjoys radio anchoring, creating and editing video content, and hopes to one day pursue a career in investigative journalism as well as producing documentaries.
