During this weekend, participants can get rid of unwanted household items during the event, instead of discarding them.

“It’s a great way to reduce the amount of garbage ending up in the landfill, while allowing someone else to find something new.”

Residents can participate by placing reusable household items at their curb, only placing items that are free to take, marking them clearly with a free sign, and adding their address to the map.

Add your address to the map by visiting the website and filling out the form.

According to the map, 39 addresses have signed up for Free Stuff Weekend as of May 22nd.

All unclaimed items must be removed from curbs by dusk on Sunday, May 24th.

Recycle-It said all unclaimed items can be donated to one of the city’s local thrift stores.
