Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign raised thousands to support the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation
Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Challenge has raised more than $24K to support the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign has raised more than $24K in support of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation.
According to a press release from the foundation, 12,285 cookies were sold, raising $24,570.
The Smile Cookie Week was held in Fort St. John from April 27th to May 3rd.
The press release said the campaign grew into a “city-wide wave of generosity” with volunteers and the foundation’s board signing up to decorate cookies through the week.
GFL Environmental delivered 2,500 cookies worth $5,000 to schools across the city, the release noted.
In addition, the release said Pembina delivered 50 dozen boxes of Smile Cookies to teachers and administrative staff of the School District 60 to ensure “that educators across the region felt appreciated and supported.”
“We saw incredible momentum this year,” said Emily Olson, Fort St. John Hospital’s community giving and event coordinator.

“When one person buys a cookie, it’s a treat. When a whole community buys in, it creates something much bigger,” she added. “We’re grateful to our local Tim Hortons restaurants, every volunteer, partner, student, and resident who helped make this week unforgettable.”
The release added that Troy Ventures “continued the chain of kindness by paying it forward” to both emergency room staff at the Fort St. John Hospital and staff and students at CM Finch Elementary School.
Also, students played a “meaningful role in this year’s success,” the release added. Leadership classes at local schools helped distribute the cookies.
The giant cookie auction drew the highest number of bids recorded, which showcased the “community’s enthusiasm for this beloved tradition,” the release noted.
It said that the Smile Cookie Week was more than just a fundraiser, “it was a reminder of what Fort St. John does best: turning small gestures into meaningful change.”
