WHISTLER — A large rockslide has closed part of the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort in British Columbia, but the resort says no one was hurt.

A statement from Vail Resorts, which owns and operates Whistler Blackcomb, says the rockslide occurred in the vicinity of Whistler Peak early Thursday morning before the resort was open.

Photos and videos posted online show piles of dark dirt and rocks down a large stretch of the snowy mountain.
