More planned power outages to impact 60 in Fort St. John

Sixty more BC Hydro customers in Fort St. John will face power outages, this time on January 14th from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

FORT ST. JOHN, — Planned power outages will affect 60 more BC Hydro customers in Fort St. John. 

According to BC Hydro’s outage list, 13 customers will be affected from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 47 customers will have power outages from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14th. 

This comes after a planned power outage has already been scheduled for January 13th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – this is due to affect 363 customers.

Areas that will be impacted on January 14th outages are around 77th Avenue, 79th Avenue and 98th Street from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. 

Areas impacted from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. are 100th Street, 240 Road, 265 Road, 79th Avenue and 81st Avenue.  

Affected customers will receive automated phone calls and emails or postcards ahead of the outages.

These planned outages are due to a pole replacement. 

BC Hydro had also scheduled an outage on January 6th from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It was originally set for December 10th but was rescheduled.
