Fort St. John Senior Flyers finalize rescheduled game versus Spirit River

The Fort St. John Senior Flyers’ game against the Spirit River Rangers, originally to be played in December, will be made up on January 7th at the North Peace Arena.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — After an extended holiday break, the Fort St. John Senior Flyers will return to the ice earlier than scheduled.

The North Peace Hockey League (NPHL) club returns for a date against the Spirit River Rangers on Wednesday, January 7th at the North Peace Arena.

Originally scheduled for December 18th, the game was postponed due to weather conditions

It was one of two games involving the Flyers halted due to the snowy conditions in the Peace region. 

The other was a neutral site game against the Dawson Creek Canucks in Chetwynd, which has been rescheduled for January 15th.

The Rangers scored seven goals in their last contest versus Fort St. John in November and won by a score of 7-2, with Jayden Syrota and Cayle Bell providing the only offence for Fort St. John.

Game time is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. at the North Peace Arena on January 7th.

A guy who found his calling later in life, Edward Hitchins is a professional storyteller with a colourful and extensive history.

Beginning his journey into journalism in 2012 at Seneca College, Edward also graduated from Humber College with an Advanced Diploma in Print and Broadcast Journalism in 2018.  After time off from his career and venturing into other vocations, he started his career proper in 2022 in Campbell River, B.C.

In a way, he hopes this position will allow both himself and Energeticcity to grow as a collective unit as his career moves forward and evolves into the next step.

He looks forward to growing both as a reporter and as a human being while being posted in Fort St. John.
