In an update posted to Facebook on Tuesday, November 4th, Gower’s wife Tryna shared he is no longer considered in critical condition and has been moved to a general trauma level of care.
“His pain is still extremely high,” she wrote. “He did break almost every bone in his body, but he’s absolutely progressing in the right direction.”
Tryna said Brooks’ recovery remains difficult but emphasized the support surrounding them. She gave special thanks to retired Dawson Creek firefighter Rhett Peterson, who has been by their side since the accident.
“[He’s] given us his unlimited time and support with rides, food, love and stays following the doctors and nurses like a detective and advocate,” Tryna said.
