FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A Fort St. John-based business is among the top six finalists advancing to the 2025 Northern Angel Summit finals.

The summit, presented by Northern Innovation Network, is a 10-week program that trains new innovators to pitch their ideas effectively, secure funding and grow their businesses. The winning company will receive up to $100,000 in investment.

Shannon Stange, a northeast regional innovation liaison at Northern Innovation Network, describes the event as similar to investment shows like Dragons’ Den.

“These founders reflect the resilience and ingenuity powering innovation in Northern and rural communities of B.C.,” said Mary Mytting, executive director of the Northern Innovation Network.

“The summit is more than one investment, it’s about strengthening the capacity and confidence of both entrepreneurs and investors as we build the region’s innovation ecosystem.”

Moose Media, the parent company of Energeticcity.ca, is a sponsor of the Northern Angel Summit competition.

The Summit Finale will take place on September 25th from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre.
