Trial for trio charged after Dawson Creek shooting reports to begin next week

Three people charged after an alleged shooting in Dawson Creek in January 2025 are scheduled to be in court for their trial on July 14th.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Three people charged after an alleged shooting in Dawson Creek early in the year are scheduled to be in court for their trial next week.

Jesse Bujold, Jessie Freeman and Jasmin Vigfusson were ordered to stand trial on April 30th, according to the BC Prosecution Service.

The trio were arrested following an alleged shooting where police officers say nobody was injured.

The incident saw officers respond to reports of gunfire on 119th Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. January 17th. 

Bujold and Vigfusson were arrested together on January 17th, while Freeman was arrested at a later date.

The three have reportedly been jointly charged with occupying a vehicle knowing a firearm was present.

According to the BC Prosecution Service, the trio’s next court date is set for Monday, July 14th in Dawson Creek.
