Dawson Creek RCMP are seeking a suspect after a domestic disturbance including a shooting at a residence early Friday morning.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Dawson Creek RCMP are seeking a suspect after a domestic disturbance including a shooting at a residence early Friday morning.
A news release says officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of the 1100 block of 119th Avenue in Dawson Creek on Friday morning at approximately 1:00 a.m.
Multiple shots were fired as RCMP located a suspect vehicle with two individuals inside. Shots were fired as police attempted to stop the vehicle.

No one was injured in the incident. Officers located the unoccupied vehicle and deployed a K-9 unit. Both suspects were apprehended and are in custody.
“We are thankful that no one was injured this morning and are grateful for the public’s assistance thus far,” said RCMP spokesperson Corporal Brett Urano.
“We are continuing our investigation and ask any witnesses to please come forward if they have not yet spoken to an investigator.
RCMP located the vehicle a short distance away, and a K-9 unit was deployed. The suspects were apprehended and are in custody.

Urano urges the public not to approach the vehicle if they see it and to call 911 immediately.
