Neustaeter said the driver went off an embankment at the end of Big Bam Road, southwest of Taylor.

The driver in the vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He said the passenger has no reported injuries.

According to BC Ambulance paramedic public information officer Brian Twaites, one ambulance with primary care paramedics responded to the scene.

“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was brought out by a local search and rescue crew,” said Twaites.

The North Peace Search and Rescue (NPSAR) confirmed they also helped with the rescue.

Neustaeter claimed alcohol may have been a factor in the incident, but said charges are not being pursued at this time.

Energeticcity.ca contacted the Taylor Fire Department but did not immediately receive a response.
