The Landing Place showcases Community-Based Employment Services
The Landing Post will be holding an open house to demonstrate some of the employment services it offers.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A new low-barrier support organization in Fort St. John is hosting an open house to showcase one of the services it offers.
On June 24th, the Landing Place will be hosting an open house to showcase its Community-Based Employment Services (CBES), according to a June 17th post from the Fort St. John Friendship Centre.
According to the Employment Connection North (ECNC) website, CBES is described as “a voluntary, low-barrier program” for adults in Fort St. John who face challenges that make accessing employment difficult.
These challenges could include housing instability, mental health issues or substance use.
In April, B.C. announced a $16 million investment in CBES for communities across the province, including Fort St. John.
The Landing Place was announced in June, after Fort St. John was selected as one of 22 communities in British Columbia to offer CBES, according to ECNC.
The open house will be held at 10328 101st Avenue in Fort St. John from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
