Energetic Taxi Cab’s wheelchair-accessible taxi now available
Energetic Taxi Cab’s wheelchair-accessible taxi became operational in Fort St. John on April 17th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Fort St. John is finally home to Energetic Taxi Cab’s wheelchair-accessible taxi service, and a council member is thanking the service’s owner for his work to make it happen.
Trevor Bolin announced on social media on Thursday, April 17th that the company’s wheelchair-accessible vehicle is now operational and on the road.
The company applied for a licence to operate the vehicle in August of last year, after receiving a letter of support from the City of Fort St. John.

On March 21st, the application was approved. At the time, company owner Sunpreet Singh said the vehicle – a 2025 Toyota Sienna – had to be taken to Vancouver to have a wheelchair ramp installed in the back before it could hit the streets.
“This has been many, many years in the making, and it’s finally happened,” Bolin said.
“This truly is a great day for Fort St. John. Thanks Sunny, for making this happen for our residents and guests who have been requesting this for so long.”
Previously, a different company in the city had held a licence to operate a wheelchair-accessible taxi, but it hadn’t operated one in several years.
