Two more election candidates for Peace region riding confirmed
Two more parties – the People’s Party of Canada and the Green Party of Canada – have announced their candidates for the Prince George, Peace River and Northern Rockies riding.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — With the Canadian federal election five weeks away, two more parties have announced their candidates for the Peace region’s riding.
The day after the federal election was called and scheduled for April 28th, political parties are announcing candidates for election as members of parliament.
In the northeast, three candidates have now been announced for the Prince George, Peace River and Northern Rockies riding.
Incumbent member of parliament for the riding, Bob Zimmer of the Conservative Party of Canada, confirmed his intention to run for re-election during a December episode of This Week in the Peace.
The People’s Party of Canada has announced David Watson, the postmaster of Bear Lake, as the candidate for the riding.
The Green Party of Canada has announced Mary Forbes as its candidate for the riding, however no information is available at this time on the candidate.
At the time of publication, no candidates have been announced for the Prince George, Peace River and Northern Rockies riding from the Liberal Party of Canada or the New Democratic (NDP) Party of Canada.
