Water service work continues in Taylor

Repairs to a water main in Taylor around Spruce Street North will shut off the service for the second day in a row on March 5th.

TAYLOR, B.C. – Some residents in Taylor can expect to experience another temporary water shut-off this afternoon.

Starting at 1 p.m. on March 5th, repairs will begin on a water service leak on Spruce Street North from 98th Avenue to Birch Avenue East. 

The district previously announced a shut off in the same area on March 4th starting at 1 p.m. and continuing into the late afternoon.

The March 5th interruption is also expected to start at 1 p.m., and the district states the interruption “could last up to the late afternoon.”

Residents are encouraged to run the taps in their homes for five to 10 minutes if there is any discoloration or air in the water when it is turned back on. 

If issues continue, the district advises residents to call the district office at (250)-798-3392.

Energeticcity.ca reached out to the District of Taylor to confirm if this was continued repairs on the same leak or a different incident, and will update this story if more information becomes available.
