NCI 12 Set for January 18th at Royal Canadian Legion
The Northern Combat Invitational (NCI) grappling extravaganzas will return for another round in 2025.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Northern Combat Invitational (NCI) grappling extravaganzas will return for another round in 2025.
Hosted by Charlie Lake’s Northern Combat Club, four NCI events were held in 2024. They included a summer show in Chetwynd and a fall event in Fort Nelson.
According to promoter Clint Parker, his focus on bringing local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) competitors together has had a long-lasting effect since he hosted his first event in 2022.

He says BJJ stalwarts from Prince George and even as far away as Edmonton have contacted the club about being showcased at events.
“I’ve been getting a lot of outside interest to come and compete,” said Parker. “I was surprised with some because of the travel distance.”

“I think the show’s getting enough recognition that some guys are wanting to come up and compete in it now because we have prizes and bonuses.”
