FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Police officers in Fort St. John say “a little dishonesty” during a traffic stop led to a 39-year-old woman being arrested.
According to police, the incident happened on December 13th, when a woman was pulled over in her vehicle for an impaired driving check at the intersection of 86th Street and 85th Avenue.
She produced a driver’s license, but when asked her name by a police officer, she reportedly “could not remember,” leading to her being arrested despite being sober.

“During the search, police located a loaded, Privately Made Firearm (PMF) or “ghost gun” prohibited pistol, pepper spray, almost $2,000 cash, and suspected illicit drugs,” a press release from the Fort St. John RCMP detachment reads.
“The suspect was held in custody to appear in court and was released that same day.”
Officers say the arrested woman’s name won’t be released until a Report to Crown Council is forwarded and charges are approved.
