On October 19, 2024, the 2024 BC Provincial Election will be coming to a close. Here are the results as reported by Elections BC for Peace River North, Peace River South, and the Legislature. We will be updating these results as the votes are counted.

Peace River North

In Peace River North, the candidates were Independent and incumbent candidate Dan Davies, Conservative Party of BC candidate Jordan Kealy, and BC NDP candidate Ian McMahon. From the preliminary results, Jordan Kealy has been elected the MLA for Peace River North with 74% of the votes. Dan Davies received 20% and Ian McMahon received 6%.

Peace River South

In Peace River South, the candidates were Independent and incumbent candidate Mike Bernier, Conservative Party of BC candidate Larry Neufeld, and BC NDP candidate Marshall Bigsby. From the preliminary results, Larry Neufeld has been elected the MLA for Peace River South with 70% of the votes. Mike Bernier received 25% and Marshall Bigsby received 5%.

BC Legislature

The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia was made up of 87 seats but has been increased to 93 seats as of this election. 47 seats are needed to make a majority. As of this writing, the NDP has 46 seats, the Conservative Party of BC has 45 seats, and the Green Party has 2. The final count will happen on October 26, 2024.
