Bold Woman of the Month: Kim Wilson
Kim Wilson, one of September’s Bold Women of the Month, believes that the best thing you can do for yourself is to do things for other people.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Kim Wilson, one of September’s Bold Women of the Month, believes that the best thing you can do for yourself is to do things for other people.
“It seems like over the last three and a half years, I would say, is where I’m actually starting to find myself,” Wilson explained.
Wilson has been walking the road of sobriety since 2021, working to better herself in her personal and professional life and enjoying the quiet life with her cats.

“I appreciate that I can take a pause now, and take a step back and look at a situation and give it more thought before just jumping to a conclusion.
She prides herself on lifting people up and advocating for self-development and self-improvement in herself and those around her.
“We really have to stick together, especially in this day and age. There’s so many people being torn apart due to many different reasons.”
Wilson expressed her appreciation for the people she works with, speaking about how uplifting they have been and how much they have helped her in her journey.

“Working for Tourmaline, working with the people that I do, has been a blessing in disguise,” She said.
Wilson said she aspires to be like her mother, who passed away suddenly in 2016.
“She had the biggest heart in the world, and you could literally do anything wrong and she would always forgive you. She was just the definition of unconditional love.”
For Wilson, being bold means never being afraid to push through and do the hard things. She explained that she wants people to see the possibilities that come with perseverance and self-improvement.
“I just want people to know that it is possible. It’s not easy, but it’s possible to get yourself out of it,”
