UPDATE: North Cameron Lake wildfire grows, says BCWS
According to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), a wildfire discovered on May 12th south of Hudson’s Hope has already grown to 100 hectares.

UPDATE #3 (May 14th – 11:31 a.m.): The wildfire is now listed as 295 hectares.
UPDATE #2 (May 12th – 5:24 p.m. ): The wildfire has doubled in size to 300 hectares and is still listed as ‘out of control,’ according to BC Wildfire Service.
UPDATE (May 12th – 11:36 p.m.): BC Wildfire Service says the wildfire is now at 150 hectares.
HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. — According to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), a wildfire discovered on May 12th south of Hudson’s Hope has already grown to 300 hectares.
The fire is located approximately 25 kilometres south of Hudson’s Hope is currently listed as ‘out of control,’ a fire expected to continue to spread.
The District of Hudson’s Hope released a statement this afternoon on its website informing residents that two initial attack crews, three helicopters, and air tankers were on the scene fighting the ongoing blaze.
BCWS says the suspected cause is human activity.
