CHARLIE LAKE, B.C. – Another fine has been issued to SL Enterprizes after what WorkSafeBC calls a “high-risk violation.”

According to the agency, the Dawson Creek traffic control company was working in Charlie Lake when WorkSafeBC saw its trailer being towed by a truck along the highway.

“A worker who was not the operator was riding on the trailer and picking up traffic cones from the road,” the penalty reads.

WorkSafeBC says that means SL Enterprizes failed to ensure that only operators and other authorized workers rode on mobile equipment.

The company has been fined $18,450.06. This is the second time SL Enterprizes has been fined by WorkSafeBC, after the company was fined the same amount in December 2023 for violations in Dawson Creek.

Energeticcity.ca has reached out to SL Enterprizes for comment.
