Fort St John Today: Winter Fest 2026

Hi everybody,

Throughout the month of February, we will be celebrating Winter Fest across the energetic city! For those of you who are new to the area, for the past 20 years, we have had the High on Ice Winter Fest take place during the Family Day long weekend. This year, the City of Fort St John has decided to mix things up by changing the name and spreading the festivities throughout the entire month.

We will still be having big events such as the ice carvings and ice slides, but we will also have smaller activities happening every day such as free snowshoe rentals, a photo contest, Freeze the Fines at the library, and more. This week, we have the School District 60 Band Winter Carnival and the ICE-X Event for our bigger events. Make sure to check them out!
