Local tattoo parlour break-in suspect in custody

RCMP have apprehended Michael Underhill after a local tattoo parlour was broken into on January 6th.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — RCMP have apprehended Michael Underhill after a local tattoo parlour was broken into on January 6th.

At 2:23 a.m. on January 6th, the Fort St. John RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter in progress at The Steadfast Tattooworks shop.

Officers arrived and saw entry to the business had been obtained by smashing through the glass front door.

The RCMP entered the business and located Underhill attempting to hide from the police, and he was arrested without incident.

Underhill was held for court and faces one charge of breaking and entering with intent.

He remains in police custody and will appear in court on January 17th.

Underhill has many previous offences involving break-and-enters, including a string of three from 2021.

According to Court Services Online, Underhill has also been charged with driving while prohibited, flight from police and causing a fear of injury or damage to a person or property.
