FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – RCMP has approved charges against a male regarding the break and enter of two local businesses.
On October 24th, RCMP received a report of an overnight break and enter at KFC with items being stolen. This report came after a string of commercial break and enters to businesses and locked compounds the last two weeks, including a previous break and enter to KFC on October 16th.
RCMP attended to investigate and noted a similar pattern to previous break and enters. Through further investigation, frontline officers were able to identify a suspect and arrested Michael Underhill.

Underhill was held in custody until his initial appearance in court. He is a prolific property crime offender and is known to police.
Three counts of Break and Enter and one count of Possess Break in Tools have been approved against Underhill in relation to the two break and enters at KFC and the break and enter at No Frills on October 6th.
Underhill attended court on October 26th and has been remanded into custody until October 29th when he will reappear in court.
RCMP are continuing to investigate the other break and enters and are asking that anyone with information or who may have witnessed any suspicious activities in the area o call the FSJ Detachment at 250-787-8100.
